SKW Stickstoffwerke Piesteritz GmbH was formed in 1993.
As the largest producer of urea and ammonia in Germany, our current product portfolio covers a wide range of specialities for agrochemistry and industrial chemistry. Our products are constantly being further developed in the interests of our customers and the final consumers.
This work takes the form of agricultural application research by our own research and development department. We have recently built numerous new facilities and additional, modern logistics centres thus enabling us to expand our range of speciality products.
In the industrial chemicals sector, we are a reliable supplier of basic chemicals such as ammonia, urea and nitric acid.

In 2011, the company succeeded in obtaining renewed certification as per DIN EN ISO 14001, EMAS, DIN EN ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and FAMIQS for fodder urea.
The management system used in our company obliges all employees to monitor product quality on an ongoing basis, to maintain a high level of safety and to conduct themselves in an environmentally friendly manner.
