SKW Piesteritz is committed to training and education

As an innovative company, SKW Piesteritz is developing the industrial location more and more into a respected centre for research and development. Training and education play an important role in paving the way for important innovations.

It was for this reason that Rüdiger Geserick, Chairman of the Managing Board, handed over 50,000.00 € to the Institut für deutsche Sprache und Kultur e.V. at the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg on 6 December as a contribution towards the renewal of the institute’s technical equipment as well as to enable the awarding of grants to students.

Mr. Geserick handed over a further 50,000.00 € to the Lucas-Cranach Grammar School in Piesteritz on 7 December 2007 for the setting up of a specialist natural science unit at which primarily chemistry is taught.

An additional sum of 50,000.00 € (5,000.00 € per facility) was handed over by Mr. Paul (Chairman of the Works Council) and Mr. Stehr (Deputy) to the following kindergartens in the vicinity of SKW Piesteritz:

As in the past two years, we donated 50,000.00 € to the Centre for Children’s Medicine at the University and Polyclinic for Children’s and Youth Medicine of the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg on 01.02.2007.

Mr. Geserick handed over a further 50,000.00 € to the Paul-Gerhard Trust Lutherstadt-Wittenberg/Clinic for Children’s and Youth Medicine.

SKW Works Council

A competent link between employer and employees
