Electronics technician for automation technology (m/f)

The tasks of an electronics technician for automation technology comprise the use of testing software and diagnostic systems, the optimization of control circuits, the installation, integration, and maintenance (including fault analysis and fault diagnosis in case of malfunctions) of automation systems; this is only a small part of a wide range of assignments. Modern automation plants are used in the chemical industry to manufacture various products in electronically controlled processes. In the process, the observance of preset values like temperature, pressure, or flow rates are decisive to guarantee a high-quality, environmentally sound, and safe production.

Prerequisites:

  • Secondary school degree
  • Inclination for trade/technical work

Training matter:

  • Building of mechanical parts
  • Preparation, laying, and connecting of electrical lines
  • Assembly and wiring of mechanical, electromechanical and electrical components to subassemblies
  • Measurement of aperiodic and alternating quantities, and the testing of components and subassemblies
  • Reading of technical documents, planning and assessment of the working procedure
  • Testing, measuring and adjusting of the electrical function of subassemblies and devices
  • Testing and adjusting of process control equipment
  • Commissioning of subassemblies, devices and plants

Ausbildungsdauer:

  • 3 ½ years
