Fertilised plants grow in an optimum manner and provide greater harvest yields. The use of fertilisers can considerably increase the harvest yield per hectare of land. This will probably become a necessity in view of the rapidly rising global population.

Requirements-oriented use of fertilisers can considerably reduce burdens on water.
