Logistics

Our production site on the outskirts of Berlin and our outstanding transport links enable reliable and speedy delivery of our products throughout the world. As Germany’s second largest processor of natural gas with an annual production of approx. 4,000,000 tonnes, we are also accustomed to coping with major logistical challenges.

Dispatch quantities

Road

Our loading facilities for the dispatch of liquid fertiliser have a capacity of 1,700 tonnes per shift. The bulk material loading facility has a throughput of 800 tonnes in the same time.

Rail

Our loading facilities can handle a total of 1,500 tonnes of bulk material per shift on two tracks. The capacity for liquid goods is 350 tonnes.
Both facilities are equipped with calibrated scales. Our fleet of over 700 railway trucks as well as 34 kilometres of own track guarantee problem-free transport by rail.

Water

Our port on the river Elbe is designed for the loading of large inland freight ships. With a liquid goods capacity of 800 cubic metres and a bulk goods capacity of 700 cubic metres per shift, even large quantities reach their destination quickly and reliably.

Storage capacities

SKW Piesteritz has storage capacity for around 240,000 tonnes of fertiliser.

120,000 tonnes can be kept in own storage areas and we have contractual arrangements with cooperation partners at various locations in Germany for a further approximately 120,000 tonnes of storage capacity.

Thanks to this capacity, we offer our customers flexibility of delivery with maximum geographical coverage.
