ALZON® liquid - Application

Overview

ALZON® liquid can be used with the same or slightly reduced levels of nitrogen as for conventional fertilisers, but in fewer partial doses. It is applied according to the usual rules for ammonia/urea solutions. The quantities of fertiliser should be based on the expected yield and the Nmin content of the soil. The quantities given below are generally recommended.

*The amount of N to be applied as part of plant protection measures have not been taken into account.

Dressing

ALZON® liquid can be applied with all popular sprays resistant to liquid fertilisers. The following general rules should be observed:

  • Suitable for soil and leaf fertilisation
  • Pay attention to the compatibility of crop plants at their individual development stages
  • Well-developed wax layer (grains, rape, turnips)
  • Do not use immediately after periods of atmospheric precipitation or in wet crops
  • Frost-dried plants or plants with a thick layer of hoar forst can be treated; however not those with only a little hoar – stop work when the thaw starts.
  • Avoid periods with recurrent frosts in spring as well as periods with intense solar radiation and high temperatures in summer
  • Use medium and large-droplet sprays at low pressure (AD and ID nozzles)
  • Use multihole nozzles and trailing hoses for critical application conditions
  • Apply during the afternoon and evening
  • Mix with water in at least a 1:3 ratio (1 part ALZON® liquid, 3 parts water), 1:4 is even better

Because ALZON® liquid is usually already applied as a quality promoting fertilisation in the stem elongation phase (ES 32 – 39), trailing hoses are not necessary in this case.
