PIAGRAN® 46 - Transport and storage

Transport only in closed or covered, clean and dry wagons or trucks. The product should not be exposed to atmospheric precipitation. Vehicles used for transportation must be thoroughly cleaned before use. Mixing with other fertilisers during transport, transfer or storage must be prevented.

PIAGRAN® 46 should be stored separately from other fertilisers, particularly those containing ammonium nitrate. Store in cleaned rooms. Covering with foils is recommended. The warehouse doors should remain closed during storage to prevent ingress of moisture into the heaps. The storage room must be sealed with respect to groundwater.

To prevent abrasion and hardening, do not transport pneumatically or with thrower belts. The drop height must be limited to a max. of 5 m and the ejection point must be changed from time to time.

Safety information

PIAGRAN® 46 is classified as water hazard class 1 (weakly hazardous to water). Do not allow the product to enter bodies of water, groundwater, or the canalisation system. PIAGRAN® 46 can react with nitrites, acids and bases with release of gases and heat. Above 132 °C, it decomposes to biuret and toxic, very caustic ammonia. Therefore, keep away from sources of heat.

Material scattered over surfaced paths and roads can lead to a risk of slipping. Therefore, clean up this material immediately. Protect metal surfaces with resistant coatings to avoid corrosion.
