Chemical research
Our chemical research concentrates on the following objectives:
- development of effective, ecologically unobjectionable and cost-favourable active substances as an additive for fertilisers (nitrification inhibitors, urease inhibitors, phyto effectors)
- the development of synthesis processes for selected active ingredients
- the development of technologies for linking the active substances with suitable fertilisers
(melting down, surface spreading)
- the provision of active-substance fertiliser samples for biological testing
- the development and adaptation of quality assurance measures (for example water repellent treatment of granulated fertiliser) for the purpose of ensuring a high quality standard of the fertilisers provided (development of recipes for water repellent materials)
- the preparation and use of special forecasting methods for granulated fertilisers with various compositions and physical consistencies (granulate hardness, coarseness, porosity) for the future procedures under practical transhipment and storage conditions
- development work concerning the compatibility and solubility given variation of the nutrient components of liquid fertilisers, incorporation of active substance additives and influencing of the physical-chemical characteristics (crystallisation temperature, foaming, surface tension)
- testing of material compatibility (for example corrosion of liquid fertilisers given changes in composition)
- preparation and testing of concepts for multifunctional, stabilised N-fertilisers
